Job summary

Devon Energy seeks a SCADA Specialist/Engineer to lead the implementation, support and maintenance of the enterprise SCADA system. You will work from kickoff to completion on projects, design processes to cut costs, and ensure 24/7 uptime while supporting a culture of safety.

The role requires a strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail and collaboration with OT/IT teams across sites. A BS in Engineering/CS and 10+ years in related roles are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering/CS or commensurate experience.
• 10+ years in a related SCADA/engineering role.
• Experience with Ignition, CygNet or Wonderware and SQL tools.
• Proficiency with Python/SQL/C#/.NET and remote device interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Implement enterprise SCADA system across all operation areas.
• Partner with automation to complete daily and project field work.
• Ensure 24/7 SCADA availability with stakeholders.
• Coordinate testing of new solutions maintaining integrity.
• Document procedures; refresh as needed; train when required.
• Develop and maintain standards for programming, hardware and software.
• Collaborate with field IT/OT teams to resolve issues.
• Assist in data alignment and connectivity across systems.
• Perform system maintenance and operational changes.
• Innovate to improve techniques and processes.
