Job summary

Milestone Bank seeks a Senior SBA Business Development Officer to cultivate lending relationships and drive SBA loan opportunities. You will gather documentation, prepare loan presentations with Credit Team support, and travel to meet customers and events as needed.

Qualified candidates have at least five years SBA origination experience, strong credit and analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and MS Office. This remote role reports to regional offices and requires travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years SBA loan origination experience.
• SBA lending knowledge for 7(a), 504 and USDA loan products.
• Strong relationship management and business development skills.
• Advanced knowledge of credit administration, analysis and policy/procedure.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Builds, develops and maintains profitable lending relationships with customers and referral sources.
• Generates leads through cold calling and existing contacts to develop SBA lending opportunities.
• Develops new relationships to expand government-guaranteed lending base (7(a), 504 and USDA).
• Assists in negotiating loans and structuring presentations; prepares credit packages.
• Travel up to 25% for meetings, trade shows and conferences.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies and procedures.
