Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer to design and optimize satellite networks for commercial and US government programs. The role focuses on pre-sales, with post-sales support and internal development, balancing technical and customer-facing work.

The candidate will handle payload configuration, spectrum planning, antenna optimization, terminal selection, and hub management, traveling up to 20%. Onsite in San Francisco is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in satellites communications HTS systems.
• BS in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics.
• Experience with link budgeting / link analysis.
• Regulatory affairs experience for space networks.
• Experience with satellite network hub management and operations.
• Proven track record in strategic technical sales.
• Scripting in Python, MATLAB, R, Julia, C++, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Create satellite network solutions for commercial pursuits from deal to post-sale.
• Model and analyze satellite networks with in-house software.
• Interface with Commercial, US Government, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, and Executives.
• Communicate satellite network designs and reports externally as solutions/sales engineer.
• Support regulatory efforts regarding spectrum use and coordination.
• Influence the design of analysis software to excel in the role.
• Dimension ground solutions with Earth Stations teams and Hub groups.
• Build Astranis's profile with international business communities.
