Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Satellite Ground System Engineer to support the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture and MDSEA within the Missile Defense Agency. The role focuses on developing and implementing secure, scalable satellite ground system solutions and ensuring robust command and control of space-enabled defense capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• Must have 5+ years of directly related experience in systems engineering for satellite ground systems.
• Must have 6+ months in a management or leadership role.
• Active DoW Secret Security Clearance.
• Fundamental understanding of Requirements Analysis and Management.
• Knowledge of System Engineering V-Model and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design ground system architectures and oversee system development for enterprise services and operations centers.
• Document designs and create implementation and test plans for sustainment teams.
• Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, test teams, and software developers to ensure integration and compliance.
• Support projects from initiation through requirements management and task execution.
• Define tasks and schedules with Project Managers.
