Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist Systems Engineer for our Salt Lake City, UT facility. This role focuses on lifecycle support of data link systems from concept to phase-out, involving requirements analysis, design oversight, testing, and deployment across hardware, software, and integrated solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of experience (or a Graduate degree with 4+ years).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 4+ years; or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret Security Clearance preferred / required
• Experience with RF lab equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers and power meters outputting test results
• Familiarity with MBSE methodologies and tools; ability to apply systems engineering principles

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of technical tasks in a focused, high-productivity, collaborative environment
• Manage requirements across all system levels with traceability to verification
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, interface control documents, system architecture, test plans and reports
• Design, develop, integrate, and test systems as part of a cross-functional team
• Manage tasks to achieve technical compliance within cost and schedule constraints
• Provide systems engineering expertise across hardware, software and integrated solutions
• Travel 10-20% CONUS to customer/subcontractor sites for meetings and demonstrations
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
