Job summary

World Wide Technology is seeking a Senior SATCOM Systems Engineer/Automation SME for the Government Services team. You will engineer SATCOM systems, develop automated tests, and support lab environments to validate multi-vendor solutions for DoD missions.

The role emphasizes rapid prototyping, interoperability testing, and secure remote access to lab environments, with a base pay range noted for Fort Meade, MD and potential variable incentives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT or SATCOM engineering.
• Experience documenting modular baseline test docs.
• Experience developing test automation scripts.
• Experience with orchestration/scheduling tools.
• Multi-vendor product testing and evaluation.
• Prototyping/PoC and interoperability testing.
• Secure remote access into lab environments for testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SATCOM networking and IT systems for users.
• Design, develop, integrate, test, and sustain SATCOM capabilities.
• Create and maintain systems engineering documentation and baselines.
• Develop modular baseline test docs for lab testing and validation.
• Design automated test scripts and frameworks for repeatable tests.
• Use orchestration tools to automate test execution and lab workflows.
• Conduct multi-vendor testing and evaluation for procurement guidance.
• Provide PoC, rapid prototyping, and interoperability testing.
• Install systems and integrate SATCOM gateways in lab and field environments.
• Offer Tier III support and secure remote lab access for troubleshooting.
• Evaluate vendor software/releases and perform cybersecurity considerations.
• Replicate and maintain SATCOM labs to support validation activities.
