Amazon seeks an SAP Sales & Distribution Solution Architect to own the end-to-end SD architecture on S/4HANA, translating order-to-cash requirements into a scalable, standard-first design that ties together finance, logistics, procurement, and the shop floor into a single digital thread.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• 10+ years ERP implementation experience.
• 5+ years leading the Sales & Distribution domain in an ERP implementation.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end SD architecture for the SAP SD domain on S/4HANA, translating order-to-cash business requirements into a coherent, scalable, standard-first design.
• Build the Business Process Designs (BPDs) for the SD domain, working with business stakeholders and the technical team to align on standard processes.
• Work backwards from how the business sells, prices, ships, and bills—order management, pricing, delivery, and billing—to meet operational and commercial needs.
• Work backwards from financial reporting needs around sales to ensure data supports management and statutory reporting.
• Own the integration requirements connecting SD to Finance, Logistics, Procurement, and Supplier Collaboration to ensure order-to-cash connects to record-to-report and fulfillment.
• Design integrations with customer POS/CRM systems to create a single source of truth for sales data.
• Design the integration with SAP GTS for trade compliance and export/import controls.
• Own the integration with outbound logistics systems for delivery and fulfillment handoffs.
• Build tax determination into the SD design with Finance teams for proper tax treatment.
• Lead SD standard-versus-custom decisions, favoring configuration and clean-core extensions over core modifications.
• Establish pricing governance, master data standards, and audit/compliance requirements from the start.
