Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA FICO Functional Lead for a full-time role in Durham, NC, with approved locations in Wilmington, NC and Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will own Product Costing, Margin Analysis, and Actual Costing within a post-go-live S/4HANA environment, partnering with Finance and Manufacturing leadership.

You will drive requirements through configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization while influencing SAP roadmap and profitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
• 7+ years of SAP FICO experience
• Minimum 3 years of SAP S/4HANA experience
• Experience configuring Activity rates, Standard cost estimates and releases
• End-to-end implementation experience with S/4HANA Account-Based Margin Analysis
• Actual Costing configuration and month-end close experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience
• Production/process-order accounting experience
• Experience with WIP, Variance calculation, Settlement
• Manufacturing environments including Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Chemicals, Food manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SAP FICO functional SME in a post-go-live RISE with SAP environment
• Configure and support Product Costing functionality
• Configure and maintain Material Ledger and Actual Costing processes
• Deliver profitability reporting across dimensions such as customer, product, manufacturing site, batch, project, and contract
• Support production and process-order accounting activities
• Manage WIP calculations, variance calculations, settlements, and reconciliations
• Support month-end close processes and financial reporting activities
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, and Operations stakeholders
• Drive business process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with technical teams on enhancements, reports, and integrations
• Lead testing, training, and deployment efforts
• Participate in SAP governance and Change Board activities
• Create and maintain functional design documentation, process documentation, and SOPs
• Contribute to future SAP roadmap planning and optimization efforts

Our client is a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing industry. Based out of Durham, NC, they are looking to hire a Senior SAP S/4HANA FICO Functional Lead on a Full-Time basis.

This is a rare opportunity for a true SAP manufacturing-costing expert to step into a highly visible role supporting a post-go-live S/4HANA environment. The company is looking for someone who can do far more than support Finance modules. They need a hands-on SAP FICO leader who has personally configured Product Costing, Material Ledger, Actual Costing, and Margin Analysis in a manufacturing environment.

You’ll work directly with Finance and Manufacturing leadership, influence the future SAP roadmap, and help optimize profitability reporting, manufacturing accounting, and enterprise financial processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning solutions from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
