Senior SAP Cognitus Functional Analyst, Project Kuiper

Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of more than 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit. Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

This position requires U.S. Citizenship to comply with government regulations.

As a key team member, you will develop enterprise applications to design, build, and operate critical business services, owning and managing ERP systems essential to Project Kuiper. The ideal candidate is autonomous, possesses strong SAP functional and technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record of delivering large engineering projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and develop business requirements, translating them into system functionality.
  2. Architect Cognitus/SAP modules supporting both commercial and government needs.
  3. Communicate benefits effectively to stakeholders.
  4. Integrate SAP systems with other Kuiper systems while ensuring data security.
  5. Engage with business sponsors to achieve targeted outcomes.
  6. Identify and address solution gaps.
  7. Present complex information clearly to stakeholders.
  8. Manage ambiguity, estimate project efforts, and communicate risks.
  9. Adapt to business strategy changes.
  10. Provide functional leadership and mentorship.
  11. Oversee customization of SAP applications to meet business needs.
  12. Stay updated on SAP features to optimize system utilization.

About The Team:

The Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) Business Systems team manages products to automate and optimize business operations, including SAP ERP modules like Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, and Make-to-Order, along with Contract Lifecycle Management and Pricing systems, compliant with FAR regulations.

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years as SAP functional architect.
  • 6+ years SAP experience with end-to-end project delivery.
  • 3+ years analyzing, creating specifications, testing, and implementing SAP solutions.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • Knowledge in modules like Government Contracts & Billing, Incurred Cost Reporting, Government Property, Project System, etc.
  • Experience with SAP manufacturing, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, SAP S/4 HANA with RISE.
  • Understanding of custom development, integration, SAP security, compliance regulations (FAR, ITAR, Export Compliance).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
