Kraken is seeking a Sr. Compliance Associate Lead, Sanctions Operations to join remotely. You’ll manage escalations, review sanctions alerts, and help scale sanctions controls across Kraken’s global footprint. You’ll work with 1LOD and regional teams to maintain program integrity while leveraging automation and AI tools.

The role requires 5+ years in sanctions/compliance, knowledge of OFAC/EU/UK/UN regimes, and strong writing skills. A bachelor’s degree is required.

• 5+ years in compliance or financial crime with sanctions investigations.
• Knowledge of major regimes: OFAC, EU, UK, UN.
• Experience writing sanctions reviews or narratives.

• Perform sanctions reviews from escalations across Kraken.
• Review name and transaction screening alerts with judgment.
• Analyse blockchain monitoring for sanctions exposure.
• Prepare regulatory reports and deliver presentations as needed.
• Collaborate with global compliance teams to improve processes.
