Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide SAN administration for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This full-time role requires strong SAN storage management and security compliance experience.

Candidate must hold Security+ and Dell SAN certifications, with extensive experience in CIFS/NFS/FC, VMware, Windows Server, and storage virtualization. U.S. citizenship and current Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in SAN systems administration.
Security+ certification required.
Dell Information Storage and Management Foundations or Dell PowerMax Maintenance certifications required.
Experience with CIFS, NFS, FC configurations, fabric switches and configurations.
Dell Data Domain, Veritas NetBackup, VMware environments, and Windows OS administration.
US citizen and current Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform system monitoring, incident analysis, and security compliance/auditing, including DISA STIGs, DoD Directives/policies and best practices.
Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Provide monthly storage reports and notify government leadership with any known system utilization constraints/issues.
Perform normal system upgrades for both software and hardware, performance tuning and automation scripting for routine procedures.
Provide routine administrative support for SAN infrastructure including LUN management, SAN Aggregate allocation, and Storage Allocation.
Work closely with system and application admins when provisioning/deprovisioning storage.
