Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior SampleManager LIMS Implementation Engineer to lead configuration, deployment, and integration of SampleManager LIMS solutions across diverse labs.

You will translate laboratory processes into robust configurations, design workflows and data mappings, and collaborate with architects, analysts, and customers to deliver scalable, validated solutions while supporting upgrades and validations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years implementing, configuring, or supporting LIMS/informatics solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SampleManager configuration and implementation preferred.
• Experience configuring lab workflows and LIMS functionality.
• Familiarity with SampleManager Integration Manager and instrument integrations.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Programming experience in C#/.NET is a plus.
• Understand SDLC, Quality Management Systems, and regulated environments (GMP/GLP/21 CFR 11/ISO).
• Ability to translate requirements into working SampleManager solutions.

Responsibilities

• Configure, customize, implement, and deploy SampleManager LIMS across labs.
• Serve as technical implementation expert for SampleManager.
• Translate requirements into SampleManager configurations.
• Design and implement workflows, master data, business rules, screens, and reports.
• Configure integrations between SampleManager and instruments and enterprise apps.
• Troubleshoot complex configuration and integration issues.
• Support data mapping, migration, and validation for LIMS deployments.
• Develop unit and system tests and support validation activities.
• Produce design specifications and implementation documentation.
• Support upgrades, enhancements, and changes in customer environments.
• Estimate activities and identify risks and dependencies.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, project managers, and QA teams.
• Provide knowledge transfer to project teams and customers.
