Job summary

Goosehead Insurance seeks a Senior Salesforce Engineer to design scalable Salesforce solutions and integrate systems. You will mentor developers and lead release management and DevOps practices. You’ll collaborate with architects, admins, and stakeholders, applying Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, REST/SOAP, and Salesforce DX to deliver high-quality, secure applications.

Ohio-based, full-time role. A CS or IT degree and 5–6 years of hands-on Salesforce experience are expected; Salesforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–6 years of hands-on Salesforce experience.
• Proven experience with Salesforce customization (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning) and declarative configuration.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and third-party applications.
• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II or Administrator are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Experience in Salesforce development, including customization, configuration, and integration.
• Proficiency in Apex programming, SOQL, and SOSL query languages.
• Knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, including Lightning Components, Visualforce, and Force.com.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues on the Salesforce platform.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Salesforce-related tools and technologies, such as Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, and Salesforce Orgs.
• Experience with Salesforce Security, including sharing rules, profiles, and permission sets.
• Experience in Salesforce testing and deployment, including test classes, code coverage, and change management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
