Job summary

DAT Freight & Analytics seeks a Staff Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Solutions Team. The role blends Salesforce expertise with enterprise architecture to deliver scalable, secure business solutions that integrate Salesforce with modern technologies.

The ideal candidate will lead cross‑functional initiatives, drive DevOps adoption, and mentor engineers while ensuring high-quality, compliant deployments across cloud and on‑prem systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in enterprise software development with at least 4 years in Salesforce.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification required.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, CPQ, or other enterprise apps.
• Experience with Salesforce RCA (Revenue Cloud Advanced).
• Proficient in Java, Python, or Node.js; traditional software programming.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise solutions that integrate Salesforce with other business-critical apps.
• Lead design and development across cloud platforms, APIs, and middleware.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for projects and processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Establish data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Lead DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation.
• Write unit/integration/functional tests and mentor others.
• Review requirements and analyze impact on schedule and design.
• Participate in design/code reviews and team meetings; translate business needs into technical specs.
• Provide technical leadership and stay current with industry trends.
