Job summary

City of New York seeks an experienced Salesforce Developer within NYCERS IT Custom Solutions. The role designs, develops, tests, and deploys Salesforce solutions aligned with SDLC standards, translating business requirements into scalable technical outcomes.

The candidate will collaborate with analysts, customize applications, build integrations, and document designs while keeping current on Salesforce features. Strong communication and training abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field with six years of related enterprise architecture experience.
• Experience with Salesforce Administration and Development, Service Cloud, and integration basics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specs.
• Customize Salesforce applications with custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules.
• Develop and maintain integrations using APIs and middleware.
• Troubleshoot Salesforce apps to ensure performance and user satisfaction.
• Create technical design docs, turnover/runbooks, and user guides.
• Stay current with Salesforce releases and best practices and implement improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding/testing/deployment standards.
• Work with Developers/Administrators across Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Social Studio.
• Provide internal training to teammates and business users.
