Position: Senior Salesforce Developer + Solution Architect

Location: Remote (Must reside in NY/NJ/CT)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Compensation: $135,000 annual salary

VillageCare of New York is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer + Solution Architect with over 4 years of experience in Salesforce administration, implementation, and support. This role collaborates with Salesforce administrators, developers, software engineers, data engineers/analysts, product managers, and project managers to plan, design, code, and test functionalities. The position involves working across the entire technology stack, from user interface and services to business logic and data access. The Salesforce Developer/Solution Architect will develop new digital product solutions and support existing Salesforce Service Cloud logic in alignment with VillageCare's strategic goals.

VillageCare is a community-based, not-for-profit organization serving individuals with chronic care needs, seniors, and those requiring continuing and managed care services. Our mission is to promote healing, better health, and well-being. We operate through Medicaid and Medicare managed care plans and an Assisted Living Program, serving NYC and surrounding counties for over 45 years.

Job Duties:

• Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer and Solution/Technical Architect, with expertise in Apex, LWCs, Aura, Visualforce, and SOQL.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, governance, and security.
• Knowledge of Salesforce configurations such as object relationships, page layouts, Lightning record pages, and Lightning App Builder.
• Experience with Salesforce integration tools (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs) and third-party applications.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including branching, conflict resolution, and release pipelines.
• Proficiency with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience working with Product Management and Agile methodologies.
• Prior Salesforce Administrator experience, focusing on user management, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and security settings.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs for Salesforce solutions.
• Develop and maintain Salesforce data models for various projects.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Salesforce Certifications such as Administrator, Solution Architect, Platform Developer I & II, or others.
• 3-5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, especially with Service Cloud, Community Portal, and Tableau.
• Deep knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including native and custom objects, validation rules, workflows, third-party integrations, and security.
• Experience in the Healthcare sector for 3-5 years.
• Familiarity with ITIL, SDLC, and PMO frameworks.
• Experience with Informatica ETL.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
