System One is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer in Washington, DC (Remote) to lead hands-on Salesforce development and implementations. You will translate complex business requirements into customized Salesforce solutions, configure objects, fields, relations, and automate processes using Apex, Visualforce and Lightning components.

The role requires 8+ years of Salesforce experience and certifications (Platform Developer I/II, App Builder, Administrator).

Job Title: Senior Salesforce Developer

Location: Washington, DC (Remote)

Type: Contract

Compensation: $81.50 - $100.00/HR on W2

Responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on technical Salesforce development and implementations, with a focus on delivering functional solutions on the Salesforce.com platform
• Work with senior members of the team to analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform
• Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields and relationships, customizing page layouts, flows, integration, automation and validation rules
• Implement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices, and perform peer code reviews. Typical Salesforce implementations include custom platform development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components), integrations with back office systems (often through the use of middle‑ware tools including REST APIs and web services) and complex data migrations
• Provide development support, from design through testing and deployment, often working with other members of the team
• Assist with quality testing, including creating test scripts, training artifacts and as needed for troubleshooting
• Implement, deploy and document projects that leverage the Salesforce.com toolset
• Post-delivery: work with client teams in supporting the live application and perform hand-off and knowledge transfer activities, positioning our clients for long term success
• Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce releases, features and industry trends and continually assess and recommend improvements to the organization’s instance, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in I.T. or related field with 8+ years of related experience
• Salesforce Certifications including Platform Developer I and I, App Builder and Administrator
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data model and best practices
• Experience with Salesforce platform programming languages - Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component framework and Managed Packages
• Web application development including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
• Lightning Component development experience
• Lightning Design System framework
• Declarative Force.com development tools such as Process Builder, Visual Workflow, Lightning App Builder, etc
• Follow established Salesforce development standards and best practices
• Be comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance
