Job summary

ZipStaff Inc. seeks a Senior Salesforce Developer to support a state government agency in Phoenix. This contract-to-hire role requires eligibility to convert to full-time and local Phoenix residency for hybrid work.

You will design, customize, and maintain Salesforce applications, integrate MuleSoft and SQL/Oracle data solutions, and collaborate with analysts to deliver regulatory-compliant software. Agile processes and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of professional development experience.
• 3+ years as lead developer on Salesforce implementations.
• Hands-on Salesforce development, configuration, and administration.
• Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and APIs.
• Advanced MuleSoft integration experience.
• Relational databases: Oracle and/or SQL Server.
• Experience with Agile delivery and source control.
• Ability to refactor and redesign existing Salesforce solutions.
• Strong written/verbal communication and stakeholder skills.
• Must be local to Phoenix, AZ and hybrid schedule capable.
• Must be eligible to convert to full-time employment with the agency.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design, customize, maintain, and enhance Salesforce applications using architecture and coding standards.
• Gather requirements with analysts and users to deliver customizations and updates.

Job Title: Senior Salesforce Developer (Public Sector)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid — local to Phoenix or open to relocation required)
Employment Type: Contract-to-hire (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity

ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to support application development for a state government agency in Phoenix.

This is contract-to-hire. You must be eligible to convert to a full-time employee. The agency cannot sponsor visas. Work is hybrid (office + remote) and limited to candidates already local to Phoenix.

What You’ll Do

• Design, customize, maintain, and enhance Salesforce applications using sound architecture and coding standards.
• Partner with business analysts and functional users to gather requirements and deliver customizations, fixes, and updates.
• Build and support solutions on Salesforce, MuleSoft, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle.
• Analyze and reverse-engineer existing code to apply fixes and implement changes.
• Participate in planning, design, development, and implementation of new applications.
• Keep interfaces and programs current with technology directives and agency statutes, regulations, and rules.
• Write technical documentation and application specifications.
• Implement agency-critical Salesforce solutions using Agile methods and source control.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 7+ years of professional development experience.
• Minimum 3 years as lead developer on one or more Salesforce implementations.
• Hands-on Salesforce development, configuration, and administration.
• Experience developing Salesforce Public Sector Solutions applications and APIs.
• Advanced MuleSoft integration experience.
• Relational database experience (Oracle and/or SQL Server).
• Experience with Agile delivery and source control.
• Ability to refactor and redesign existing Salesforce solutions.
• Strong written/verbal communication and stakeholder skills.
• Must be local to Phoenix, AZ and able to work a hybrid schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior state or local government Salesforce work.
• Experience documenting for regulatory / statutory change.
• Microsoft SQL and Oracle on the same program.
