Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - ALSAC is seeking a technically skilled leader to design, develop, and implement multi-layer enterprise applications. You will mentor engineers, drive SOC|DevOps practices, and guide teams across frontend, backend, and data layers while embracing evolving technologies.

The role focuses on integrating customer data solutions to enable insights, scalable services, and data-driven engagement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; 5-8 years of technical, analytical, systems, and programming experience.
• Knowledge of current application development techniques, including object-oriented and client/server technologies.
• Experience developing software across front-end, back-end, data, and database technologies.
• Experience in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with defined structures, roles, and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute technical initiatives that may span multiple systems and applications.
• Serve as a mentor to Software Engineers I and II, including training on technical and data analysis, problem solving, and code reviews.
• Design, develop, test, debug, document, and maintain complex application programs.
• Engage with stakeholders through interviews and information gathering for application development.
• Stay current with emerging development tools, programming techniques, and technologies.
• Collaborate with business analysts and customers to plan for future business and technology needs.
