Job summary

State of Ohio is seeking a Senior Salesforce Architect to design, develop, maintain, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions for the Tax department in Columbus. The role demands hands-on expertise with Apex, LWC, Aura Components, SOQL/SOSL, flows, and data modeling along with security architecture and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• 3+ years of Salesforce Platform development experience.
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, security architecture, and data migration tools.
• Experience with LWC and Aura Components.
• Experience with Salesforce automation and advanced Flows.
• Experience with GitHub, DevOps, CI/CD, and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex classes, triggers, batch processes, LWC, and Aura Components.
• Build declarative solutions using Salesforce Flows, custom objects, validation rules, and security controls.
• Troubleshoot complex software errors, application bottlenecks, and data integration issues.
• Write clean, documented code and robust test classes maintaining 75–80%+ code coverage.
• Participate in peer code reviews and follow Salesforce development best practices.
• Manage application lifecycles, sandbox environments, and deployment cycles.
• Use GitHub and CI/CD tools for version control and Salesforce deployments.
