Senior Salesforce Developer

Engineer the platform that powers growth

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer who views Salesforce as an enterprise application platform, not just a CRM. This role is for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys designing scalable architectures, building high‑performance integrations, and solving complex business problems through modern software engineering practices.

You will develop across the full spectrum of the Salesforce ecosystem, from declarative automation and Lightning Web Components to Apex services, event‑driven architectures, and Java Spring Boot microservices. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and business leaders to build resilient, secure, and scalable solutions that support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and optimize enterprise‑grade Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, SOQL, and Platform Events.

  • Design and build scalable Java Spring Boot APIs and microservices that connect Salesforce with enterprise systems.

  • Develop robust integrations using REST, SOAP, event‑driven patterns, and middleware technologies.

  • Evaluate platform capabilities and determine the right balance between declarative configuration and custom development.

  • Lead technical design and code reviews while establishing standards for architecture, security, testing, observability, and performance.

  • Create reusable frameworks, components, and patterns that improve developer productivity and platform maintainability.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable technical solutions and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly.

  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, architecture coaching, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

  • Drive DevOps practices across source control, automated testing, CI/CD, release automation, and environment management.

  • Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, developer experience, and delivery velocity.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing complex applications on the Salesforce platform.

  • Advanced expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flow, and platform architecture.

  • Strong experience building and supporting production‑grade APIs and services using Java and Spring Boot.

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce security, sharing models, data architecture, governor limits, and integration patterns.

  • Experience designing solutions for scale, maintainability, fault tolerance, and performance.

  • Proficiency with Git, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices.

  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor other engineers.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience working in Agile, product‑oriented engineering teams.

Soft Skills

  • Communicates complex technical concepts clearly to engineering teams, product partners, and business stakeholders.

  • Collaborates effectively across functions, builds trusted relationships, and contributes to an inclusive, psychologically safe team environment.

  • Demonstrates strong ownership, sound judgment, and accountability from solution design through production support.

  • Approaches ambiguity with curiosity, structured problem‑solving, adaptability, and a continuous‑learning mindset.

  • Balances technical excellence with business priorities, customer impact, delivery commitments, and pragmatic tradeoffs.

  • Provides and receives constructive feedback, coaches peers with empathy, and helps teams reach decisions through respectful influence.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, System Architect, or Integration Architect.

  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and enterprise‑scale Salesforce implementations.

  • Familiarity with MuleSoft or other integration and API management platforms.

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud‑native engineering practices.

  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with event‑driven architectures, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
