Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Senior Applications Developer to lead the Salesforce team in Harrisburg, administering, developing, and securing the Salesforce platform in alignment with agency goals.

You will perform data modeling, reporting, and integration work, using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce where applicable, and Flow, with telework options and a standard 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• One year as an Applications Developer 2 or Computer Programmer 4 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Five years of information technology experience that includes three years of applications development or applications maintenance
• Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance with an associate’s degree in IT
• One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance with a bachelor’s degree in IT
• Equivalent combination of experience and training

Responsibilities

• Platform Administration: Manage user access, profiles, permission sets, and security controls to maintain data integrity and policy compliance
• Data Modeling: Design complex data structures and automation tools that support evolving business needs
• Reporting Development: Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide useful operational and executive insights
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot advanced platform problems and coordinate solutions to maintain reliable operations
• Custom Development: Build and deploy Salesforce components to meet complex agency requirements
• Integration Support: Develop and manage secure and sustainable connections with internal and external systems
