SENIOR SALESFORCE ADMINISTRATOR

As a Senior Salesforce Administrator, you will be a key member of the internal Salesforce Team, reporting to the Director of Salesforce and working out of our Chicago office. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Salesforce platform to meet the evolving needs of the business. While this role includes day-to-day administration, user support, and training, its primary focus is on collaborating with stakeholders and the Director of Salesforce to design and implement scalable solutions that align with strategic goals and firm-wide initiatives. You’ll field support tickets, assist users with troubleshooting, and lead training efforts to ensure a strong end-user experience, while also driving the continued growth and long-term evolution of our Salesforce environment.

ROLE INFORMATION
  • Status: Full-Time (Hybrid)
  • Location: Chicago, IL
  • Compensation Structure: Base Salary + Bonus
  • Reports to: Stewart Magnuson, Director, Salesforce
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements; propose and develop scalable solutions leveraging Salesforce functionality, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and current project priorities in close partnership with the Director of Salesforce. Lead end-to-end deployment and ensure accountability for quality, accuracy, and consistency in execution.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide consistent updates on each project’s timeline and overall progress.
  • Configure Objects, Fields, Layouts, Validation Rules, Flows, Custom Metadata, Sharing Settings, Assignment Rules, Approval Processes, Record Types, Apps, Actions, Mobile Administration, and custom settings; ensure all installed packages are up-to-date and relevant features are utilized to maximize value.
  • Serve as a key contact for end-user support by fielding, managing, and resolving Salesforce-related tickets submitted through the internal help desk system; identify common pain points and propose scalable, long-term solutions.
  • Partner with leadership to define and evolve the firm’s Salesforce roadmap, ensuring the platform scales with business needs and supports strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively optimize configurations to ensure platform stability, speed, and scalability.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to meet management requirements and convey key performance indicators; import and export data; maintain data integrity create backups; manage Salesforce profiles, roles, permission sets, and public groups.
  • Provide quality assurance testing for solutions developed by team members.
  • Work with external systems to ensure integrations with Salesforce are maintained and provide consistent data feeds; leverage Salesforce's AppExchange to identify and implement pre-built solutions instead of building from scratch.
  • Provide ongoing user training; create training materials; onboard and offboard user accounts as needed; grant or revoke user access to specific data, folders, reports, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to manage relationships and coordinate projects; participate in CRM migrations, including mapping objects and fields from existing CRMs to Salesforce and loading data.
IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce administration, including configuration and customization, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Salesforce best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data management, security, and user management best practices.
  • Experience with deploying metadata between different environments utilizing Change Sets.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, including Opportunity Management, Forecasting, and Sales Process Automation
  • Experience with CRM Analytics (CRMA), including building datasets and actionable dashboards supporting data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with data integration, CRM migrations, and managing external systems integrations
  • Experience with the following project management software: SmartSheet
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with the following AppExchange Apps: Conga Orchestrate, Nintex DocGen, Zoom, Box, Advisor360 (Agreement Express) preferred
