Job description

Forward Financing is a financial technology company based in Boston, Massachusetts with team members throughout the United States, Dominican Republic, and Canada. The company is on a mission to unlock the capital that fuels small businesses across America. Recognized as a Best Place to Work by Built In Boston and certified as a Great Place To Work®, Forward is investing in its employees, technology, and customer experience – with long-term success in mind every step of the way.

As the Senior Sales Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for analytics and reporting used to drive the success of our Sales Department. In this role, you will investigate and implement opportunities for increased sales efficiency and revenue growth, working closely with department leadership and other functions in the business, including Technology, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, and the Executive Leadership Team.

In This Role You Will

  • Monitor Performance and Share Insights with Senior Leadership: Analyze and communicate larger sales performance trends, strategic insights, and forecasts to leadership, managers, and other stakeholders on a monthly basis to drive the overall success of the Sales Department.
  • Act as a Strategic Partner: Join weekly meetings and partner directly with Sales leaders to understand their focus areas and get embedded in the team.
  • Build Comprehensive Tableau and Salesforce Dashboards: In partnership with Sales Leadership and Analytics, build comprehensive dashboards that deliver actionable insights and drive business impact.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally to Drive Profitability: Be the bridge between the Sales Department and other functions in the business to effectively collaborate on key initiatives that drive the business forward, including Underwriting, Finance, Marketing, Technology, Analytics, and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Manage and Optimize the Sales Pipeline: Analyze the health and progression of the sales pipeline, identify bottlenecks, and ensure effective lead management. Evaluate the performance of various sales channels and partnerships to recommend optimization strategies.
  • Perform Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform in-depth sales analysis and leverage findings to optimize sales effectiveness, productivity, and overall business performance.
  • Champion Sales Tech Innovation: Identify, test, and implement new technologies—including AI-driven solutions—to streamline processes, enhance forecasting, and boost overall sales productivity.
  • Support Test and Learn Initiatives: Support sales pilot programs (e.g., new sales strategies, tools, incentive plans) from a testing and data perspective to draw data-backed conclusions on their effectiveness.
  • Administer Compensation and Awards Plans: Update President’s Club Leaderboard; compile and submit monthly incentives and sales contest compensation.
  • Administer CRM Systems: Update Salesforce as needed to support the Sales team.

Why You Should Apply

  • Mission driven company: Forward is a trusted source of fast, flexible funding for small businesses that have often been underserved by traditional financing options. When you join the team, you will help ensure all small businesses have access to the financial support they need to succeed.
  • Flexibility is a top priority: Our employees are empowered to choose where they want to work (whether that’s from home, in the office, or a combination of both) with flexible hours.

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales analysis, sales operations, consulting, finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, nested IF statements, index match, etc.), PowerPoint, and other related tools.
  • Proficient with common analytics tools and BI tools such as Tableau (Tableau Certification and SQL experience preferred).
  • Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g. Gemini, Claude) within Sales Operations, or a strong eagerness to learn and adopt emerging AI technologies.
  • Proficient with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
  • Experience evaluating unique problems, collaboratively creating solutions, drafting project plans, and delivering effective new business processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build long-lasting relationships across the organization.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and an ability to successfully shift priorities in a fast-paced environment to optimize revenue.
  • Nice to have: Proficient with a lead distribution system (e.g. LeanData) and / or a communication platform (e.g. Genesys).

Compensation

Annual Targeted Salary: $114,000 – $144,000 USD

Annual Target Bonus: 10%

At Forward Financing, we're committed to fair and transparent compensation. We believe in providing a compensation package that recognizes your skills, experience, and the unique value you bring to our team. We take a market-based approach to pay, regularly reviewing benchmark data to ensure our compensation remains competitive, equitable, and aligned with our performance-driven culture.

Total Rewards

Additionally, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, commuter benefits, a flexible time-off policy, paid parental leave, 401k match for US employees, wellness reimbursement, volunteering days, annual professional development budget, and charitable donation match.

Forward is proud to be a remote-first company, keeping workplace flexibility a top priority for our employees. As a business, we are focused on impact; we are more concerned with your contributions to the success of the company than where you get your work done. To help facilitate in-person collaboration, employees are welcome to work from one of our premiere office locations.

When we aren’t collaborating to drive business and support our customers, we’re finding virtual and in-person ways to get to know our colleagues, celebrate team wins, and have fun together!

Our Culture: The Forward Compass

The Forward Compass is the standard we hold for ourselves and one another—guiding how we lead, collaborate, and show up every day to move in the same direction.

  • Back the Builders: We are wired to fuel customer progress, not just provide support.
