Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Sales leads a dynamic sales team, overseeing Regional Sales Managers and manufacturer representatives, while managing a designated sales territory. The role involves strategic leadership, hands-on territory and key account management, and achieving sales targets.

This position focuses on our Gearmotors Division, primarily selling to OEMs. Experience in selling machine parts and components to OEMs is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers & Representatives
  • Set and monitor KPIs for the sales team
  • Conduct team meetings, reviews, and training
  • Manage sales activities within the territory, identify new business opportunities
  • Build relationships with OEMs, distributors, and stakeholders
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans
  • Serve as primary contact for key customers
  • Negotiate contracts and develop long-term partnerships
  • Collaborate with leadership on sales strategies and goals
  • Analyze market trends and performance data
  • Coordinate with marketing, product development, and operations teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Required
  • Minimum 8 years of developing and executing sales strategies in industrial/technical markets - Required
  • At least 3 years managing sales teams - Required
  • Experience in gearmotors, automation, or industrial equipment sales to OEMs - Preferred
  • 2+ years in territory management in US manufacturing regions - Preferred
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Intermediate, Required
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce - Intermediate, Required
  • Knowledge of power transmission industry & mechanical technologies - Intermediate, Preferred
Additional Skills
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills - Required
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Required
  • Ability to build effective sales presentations and relationships - Required
  • Knowledge of industrial markets and trends - Preferred
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient Japanese-manufactured products - Preferred
Compensation & Schedule
  • Remote role managing national sales team
  • Salary range: $130,000 – $152,000/year
  • Salary based on experience, education, and market factors
  • Eligible for incentive plans based on performance
