Job summary

Ciena Corporation is seeking a Principal, Sales – Cloud & AI Components in California. You will drive growth in the semiconductor business through direct and indirect channels, leading engagements with hyperscale customers and partners.

Collaborative cross‑functional leadership is essential to win design opportunities and scale revenue. The role demands 15+ years in hardware/semiconductor sales, strong electro‑optic and data center knowledge, and the ability to influence at executive levels

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
15+ years of direct hardware/semiconductor sales experience.
Experience selling into hyperscale/cloud/AI environments.
Knowledge of electro-optic solutions and data center architectures.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth for Cloud & AI components.
Lead direct and indirect sales engagements with executive-level prospects and partners.
Collaborate cross-functionally with PLM, R&D, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to execute sales plans.
Travel approximately 35% to manage strategic accounts and opportunities.
