FIA Tech works in close partnership with the broader industry, including exchanges, clearinghouses, clearing firms and other intermediaries, as well as independent software vendors, buyside firms and end users to bring efficiency to the exchange traded and cleared derivatives industry.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth from data services, by identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and promoting our suite of data solutions.

What you'll do

  • Business Development – Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within our target market particularly targeting buy-side, brokers, market makers, clearing firms and trading organizations.
  • Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target accounts.
  • Product Expertise – Develop and maintain a deep understanding of FIA Tech's data products and services, and effectively communicate their value propositions to potential clients.
  • Market Analysis – Know your market. Be aware of industry trends, regulations, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
  • Sales Presentations – Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with marketing, product development, client operations and customer success teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Reporting – Provide regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Experience – Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the financial services or fintech industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Industry Knowledge – Sound understanding of the futures industry and post-trade processes, and associated referential data.
  • Sales Skills – Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Networking – Established network of contacts within the financial services sector.
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Technical Aptitude – Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technology solutions.
  • Travel – Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
