About the Position:

We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our growing Modular Solutions Division. This role focuses on selling innovative products and services such as prefabricated critical electrical distribution skids, prefabricated data centers, e-houses, and switchgear. The position is based at our West Atlanta location, with opportunities for remote work depending on task requirements.

The ideal candidate is a professional, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a sound understanding of electrical engineering and AC power distribution. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, relationship building, and market responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, end users, and value-added resellers.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with potential customers and industry partners.
  • Lead bid preparation and manage proposals for key opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Senior Leadership to develop new products and capabilities based on market trends.
  • Update management regularly on progress and activity against goals.
  • Generate leads and meet with customers to understand their specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Deliver tailored solutions to customers and negotiate profitable pricing.
  • Develop preliminary layouts in AutoCAD and collaborate with the production team to enhance designs.
  • Stay informed and ensure compliance with key industry codes and standards (NFPA 70, NFPA 75, NEC, IEEE, UL)
  • Support the production team in identifying design improvements and updating technical documentation.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership regarding sales goals and market activity

Required Experience and Skills:

  • BS degree or 5-10 years of successful sales experience in electric power industry required; an electrical or mechanical engineering degree is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage customer accounts and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • High level knowledge of electrical engineering and AC power distribution principles
  • Some AutoCAD knowledge and experience
  • Understand and apply industry standards and codes (NFPA 70, NFPA 75, IEEE, UL)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with little supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug and background screening.
  • Relevant experience from coursework, clubs, internships, or co-ops may count toward the required years of experience.
