Job summary

Peak Energy is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to own the technical side from initial conversations through contract signing. You’ll define fit, build business cases, lead design discussions, and negotiate scope and performance terms for execution.

This cross-functional role partners with Sales, Project Engineering, Finance, and engineering teams to ensure sound, cost-effective projects ready to build. The role emphasizes regional market knowledge, strong modeling, and clear communication with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years in engineering for battery or renewable energy projects.
• Experience with utility-scale power projects.
• Knowledge of engineering, construction, and permitting/code concepts.
• Experience defining technical scopes and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Able to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Size and configure Peak's battery systems to match use cases.
• Develop understanding of Peak's energy storage tech for sales support.
• Lead preliminary design discussions with customers.
• Negotiate technical contracts on scope, schedule, and guarantees.
• Coordinate with Sales, Project Engineering, Finance and external partners.
• Build regional market knowledge and customer needs.
• Define functional requirements for roadmap and new features.
• Create and maintain technical sales tools and materials.
