Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to support management in attaining sales, production, and expense goals in a profitable store. You will schedule staff, assist with payroll, and supervise new hires while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

You will back up the Store Manager when needed and contribute to the work therapy program as directed. Strong communication, leadership, and financial literacy are essential, along with a valid driver's license and sales

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sales.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.
• Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.
• Good communication and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Sales Associate will assist the management team in meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation.
• Schedule store personnel.
• Complete of payroll information for all staff.
• Receive applications and participating in interviews as requested
• Train, direct, and supervise of new employees.
• The Senior Sales Associate will ensure that store personnel are aware of and in compliance with all policies, procedures, and government regulations, that sales reports and other required paperwork are completed and forwarded to the finance office daily, and that the store is well stocked.
• The Senior Sales Associate will be backup for the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager as needed.
• The position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).

The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction.
