Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Erie seeks a Senior Sales Associate to help create a positive work environment and build strong customer relationships.

You will assist management in meeting sales and budget goals, coordinate staff schedules, process payroll, conduct interviews, train new employees, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations while keeping the store well stocked and productive.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales and customer service.
• Strong communication and supervisory abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret simple income/expense reports.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain profitability.
• Schedule store personnel and complete payroll information for all staff.
• Receive applications and participate in interviews; train and supervise new employees.
• Ensure staff are compliant with policies, procedures, and regulations; maintain well-stocked store; prepare and forward reports to the finance office daily.
• Act as a back-up for Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager when needed.
• Support the work therapy program by modeling professional conduct and supervising beneficiaries.

The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to assist in creating and sustaining a pleasant work environment and excellent customer relationships.

Duties

• The Senior Sales Associate will assist the management team in meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation.
• Schedule store personnel.
• Complete of payroll information for all staff.
• Receive applications and participating in interviews as requested.
• Train, direct, and supervise of new employees.
• The Senior Sales Associate will ensure that store personnel are aware of and in compliance with all policies, procedures, and government regulations, that sales reports and other required paperwork are completed and forwarded to the finance office daily, and that the store is well stocked.
• The Senior Sales Associate will be backup for the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager as needed.
• The position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sales.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.
