Elaine B Jewelry is hiring a Senior Sales Associate in the metro Detroit area. The role focuses on guiding clients through fine jewelry sales—from education on stones to lifelong client relationships—within a fast-paced, creative environment.

You will blend product knowledge, storytelling, and styling to create excitement, build loyalty, and meet store targets, while collaborating with the production team and owner.

We’re Hiring! Elaine B Jewelry is looking for a senior level Fine Jewelry Specialist in metro Detroitto join our team!

The Retail Team plays a key role in our company’s overall goal of creating modern, handmade everyday and fine jewelry through ethical sourcing, local craftsmanship and meaningful relationships.

We are looking for someone who is excited to learn about jewelry and loves creating great customer experiences. They understand the value of remembering people’s names, and take pride in their organization skills, thoughtfulness and attention to detail.

Role & Responsibilities

This role is a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, creative environment. You will work alongside our retail team, production team and owner to tell the story of our jewelry.

• Fine Jewelry Specialist: Guide clients through the engagement ring, wedding band and fine jewelry sales process. From education on stones and settings to following up on leads and assisting clients in their lifetime relationship with our company.
• Sales & Retail: Own the sales experience from discovery to close by blending product knowledge, storytelling, and styling expertise to create excitement, build loyalty, and achieve individual and store sales targets.
• Clientelling: Reach out to past and prospective clients to follow up and share new products, events or promotions.
• Software: Proficiency with Google Suite, Shopify, Canva, Monday.com and CRMs is required.
• Custom, Made to Order & Repair: Facilitate custom jewelry inquiries, made to order products and the repair intake process with clear communication and documentation.
• Personal Shopping: Host and manage scheduled shopping appointments as well as assisting walk-in clients by providing a curated, one-on-one experience.
• Forever Linked Experience: Guide clients through our Forever Linked customizable and permanent jewelry offerings. Create finished jewelry designs on the spot.
• Logistics & Shipping: Ability to manage orders and incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Visual Merchandising: Help merchandise the store and ensure jewelry is cleaned and presentable at all times.
• Inventory & Supplies: Keep the store organized and ensure all packaging materials are fully stocked and maintained.

Core Essentials

• Time Commitment: Full-time 35 hrs per week - Must work 3 Saturdays per month
• Compensation: Starting at $22/hr base
• Bonuses: Personal and pooled sales commission, personal referrals & employee discounts, etc

• People Skills: A genuine enjoyment of working with the public and making great first impressions.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Jewelry Knowledge: A background in jewelry or craft is a huge plus.
• Small Business: An understanding and appreciation of small business and entrepreneurship.
• Event Planning: Planning events and great guest experiences is very helpful.
• PR: An understanding of how influencers and press communicate is useful to this position.
• Social Media: Appreciation for Social Media and willingness to take part in content creation may be part of this role.
