Job summary

CDW seeks a Senior SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer to lead end-to-end IdentityIQ design and delivery on a Federal government engagement. The role requires absorption of in-flight design, ownership of technical decisions, and mentorship of the delivery team.

The candidate will serve as the trusted technical advisor to stakeholders, guiding architecture reviews, design sessions, and roadmaps while ensuring security and compliance across the solution.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in IAM/identity governance with 5+ years hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ across full lifecycle.
• Deep expertise in IdentityIQ: aggregation, provisioning, roles, access certifications, workflows, rules, connectors, reporting.
• Strong integration experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP, HR systems, relational databases, ServiceNow, and API connectors.
• Architect-level experience leading design and client-facing work on enterprise engagements; solid Java and BeanShell, SQL, and app server fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present to and influence senior government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

CDW is pleased to be supporting this new Senior Sailpoint IdentityIQ Engineer with one of our major government clients. Please note that due to the nature of this role, candidates will be required to be a US Citizen.

Position: Senior Sailpoint IdentityIQ Engineer

Role Summary:

The Solution Architect serves as the senior technical authority for this SailPoint IdentityIQ engagement. The role owns end-to-end solution design and delivery quality, acts as the primary technical advisor to the client, and provides direction and mentorship to the delivery engineering team. This is a backfill for an existing architect seat on an active federal identity governance program, so the individual must be able to absorb an in-flight design quickly and take ownership of technical decisions with limited ramp time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution oversight. Owns the overall IdentityIQ solution architecture and all significant design decisions, ensuring the design satisfies functional, security, and federal compliance requirements and integrates cleanly with existing enterprise systems and downstream applications.
• Client guidance and leadership. Serves as the trusted technical advisor to stakeholders, leading design sessions and architecture reviews, translating mission and business requirements into technical direction, and advising on the broader identity governance roadmap.
• Delivery technical quality. Establishes and enforces technical standards across the engagement, conducts design and code reviews of rules, workflows, connectors, and configuration, and validates that delivered work meets quality, performance, and security expectations before release.
• Team leadership. Provides technical direction and mentorship to consulting engineers and developers, resolves escalated technical issues, and keeps the delivery team unblocked against the schedule.
• Program governance. Partners with the project manager and CDW delivery leadership on scope, estimation, technical risk, and change control, and maintains current architecture documentation and design artifacts for the engagement.

Required Qualifications:

• Eight or more years in identity and access management or identity governance, including five or more years of hands‑on SailPoint IdentityIQ experience across full‑lifecycle implementations from design through production.
• Deep expertise in IdentityIQ core capabilities: identity aggregation and correlation, lifecycle management and provisioning, role and entitlement modeling, access certifications, workflows, BeanShell rules, connectors, and reporting.
• Strong integration background across Active Directory and Entra ID, LDAP directories, HR systems of record, relational databases, ServiceNow, and custom or API‑based connectors.
• Demonstrated architect‑level experience leading solution design and serving as the client‑facing technical lead on enterprise engagements, with solid Java and BeanShell, SQL, and application server fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present to and influence senior government stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Federal delivery experience with working familiarity with FISMA, NIST SP 800‑53, Federal ICAM, HSPD‑12 and PIV credentialing, and Zero Trust identity requirements.
• SailPoint IdentityIQ certification at the engineer or architect level, with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud exposure a plus.
• Prior experience mentoring delivery teams and owning solution quality across multi‑workstream programs.
