Job summary

Onni Group of Companies is seeking a Safety Manager to lead prevention, detection, and resolution of loss at the Marina Shores site in Los Angeles. You will develop and maintain safety programs, oversee inspections, and ensure Cal/OSHA compliance across multifamily and tenant-improvement projects.

The role requires 5+ years in construction or property management and 3+ years in safety management, with strong communication skills and knowledge of OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction or property management experience.
• 3+ years of safety management and training experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans for multifamily mid-rise and tenant improvements.
• Maintain and update Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) per Cal/OSHA.
• Manage site-specific Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fall Protection Plans.
• Establish Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
• Coordinate with insurance for OCIP/CCIP requirements when applicable.
• Conduct daily to monthly safety inspections on construction sites and oversee critical safety operations.
• Review subcontractor safety plans, certifications, and training records; issue violations as needed.
• Lead safety training programs (OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, HAZWOPER).
• Prepare OSHA 300 logs, Cal/OSHA reporting, and workers' comp documentation.
