Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to promote a proactive safety culture and oversee the safety program for projects in Colorado.

You will lead on-site safety inspections, coordinate with project supervision, investigate injuries, enforce policies, and deliver toolbox talks while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. This role requires 7+ years of safety leadership on large construction sites, a related degree, OSHA 500 and BCSP credentials preferred,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years’ safety leadership on large projects.
• OSHA 500 and BCSP certifications preferred.
• Ability to travel or relocate within the region.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote a proactive safety culture across projects.
• Monitor safety programs and on-site compliance with workers and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and coordinate reports with insurance.
• Coordinate with project supervision to ensure PPE and safety materials are used.
• Investigate injuries and log incidents for OSHA purposes.
• Lead weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Maintain records and forward safety-related documents to leadership.
