Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to the handling, processing, and storage of energetic materials.
• Ensure strict adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) standards.
• Manage the site's MOC program and ensure safety is engineered into process modifications.
• Develop and deliver safety and PSM training programs to ensure workforce competencies.
• Conduct technical EH&S audits and support continuous improvement of safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ATF, DHS, and DoD technical standards.
• Administer a safety program that integrates engineering controls with behavioral safety.
• Serve as an on-the-floor leader to reinforce the organization’s safety culture.
• Perform hazard analyses and evaluate risk to recommend mitigation strategies.
• Assist with accident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Senior Safety Engineer (energetics or explosives safety exp. req.) Description

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the technical planning, execution, and upkeep of comprehensive safety programs, applying expertise in energetic materials and explosives to design practical solutions that reduce operational risk.
