Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to manage the Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) function to create and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment, aiming to prevent and minimize HSE-related issues. These include, but are not limited to, preventing human injury, environmental degradation, and unsafe working conditions/practices. This is achieved through health, safety, and environmental training, programs, and processes, with a visible and uncompromised commitment to environmental protection and employee productivity.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing lower-level professionals on HSE activities on large-scale Total Installed Cost (TIC) projects; duties may include controlling HSE budgets, staffing, scheduling, preparing certification/classification programs, and supporting HSE documentation; designing or directing studies for environmental information, Safety Cases (SC), Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Fire Protection Specifications (FPS), and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) as required by certification or regulatory bodies.
2. Managing, training, and supervising HSE staff, inspectors, nurses, medics, and other team members, ensuring compliance with company HSE standards and goals.
3. Providing guidance and advice to business lines, project management, and organizational units on HSE practices, procedures, client requirements, and legal regulations.
4. Making decisions on engineering and scientific problems related to HSE, employing advanced techniques and practices.
5. Contributing to HSE permit preparations by maintaining current knowledge of guidelines and regulations.
6. Supporting Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
7. Performing other duties as assigned.
