Job summary

Progressive Safety in Milwaukee/Kansas City leads safety for large data center construction projects. The Senior Construction Safety Coordinator drives safety culture on active, high-profile builds, mentors junior staff, and works with field leadership to ensure compliance and risk reduction.

The role emphasizes field presence, collaboration with subs and project teams, and thorough incident investigations and reporting across mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience
• OSHA 510 + OSHA 30 (Required)
• BCSP Certification (CHST, ASP, CSP) – Strongly Preferred
• Experience working in active jobsite environments
• Strong communicator who can influence safe behaviors in the field
• Comfortable using Procore, Excel, Teams

Responsibilities

• Lead jobsite safety efforts on active, large-scale construction projects
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
• Support high-risk work planning (JHAs, PTPs, pre-task meetings)
• Drive a proactive safety culture with field teams and leadership
• Deliver toolbox talks, orientations, and training
• Partner with superintendents, subcontractors, and project leaders
• Mentor junior safety staff and elevate team performance
• Manage incident investigations, reporting, and safety documentation
