Job summary

Delmarva Power & Light Co. is seeking a primary Health and Safety resource to lead safety programs, ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT, and support operations 24/7. The role includes incident analysis, root-cause investigations, and building safety awareness across regions.

The position requires a BS/BA in safety or related field and 4–7 years of utility EH&S experience (or 6–9 years if no degree). Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to drive action are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field; 4–7 years in utility EH&S or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Self-motivated with action-oriented mindset.
• Ability to communicate with Operations regions/divisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and technical support to Operations regions/divisions on safety.
• Manage local safety issues through analysis, benchmarking, and regulatory interface.
• Lead safety culture change initiatives from Director to represented employees.
• Maintain injury records and manage accident reporting with confidentiality.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations; interface with regulators.
