Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned safety advisor to champion the Safety Management System across business units, lead SMS rollouts, and craft region-specific safety communications. The role includes analyzing safety data for continuous improvement and delivering safety training programs.

The candidate should have 6+ years in safety advisory roles (energy/industrial preferred) and a Bachelor’s in OH&S or equivalent, with certifications as assets. Travel about 10% across US & Canada is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in safety advisory roles, preferably in the energy or industrial sector.
• Certification as a safety professional is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Champion and support implementation of SMS across Business Unit operations.
• Lead rollout of new or updated SMS elements and safety programs.
• Develop and deliver region-specific safety communications and plans.
• Analyze safety data trends and generate reports for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to development and delivery of safety training programs.
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes.
• Coach and support regional leadership and safety representatives in completing safety responsibilities.
• Spend time outdoors and in an office setting.
• Travel approximately 10% throughout Canada and the United States.
