Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories, based in Albuquerque, is seeking a Safeguards & Security Planning and Operations Specialist. You will support performance reporting for the S&S Program and partner with Senior Management on strategic reviews and program planning.

You will lead projects with wide impact, publish reports to leadership, and coordinate with internal and external partners while applying Lean Six Sigma tools to optimize processes. DOE security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.
• Ability to lead/guiding management decisions on large-impact projects.
• Ability to develop high-impact PowerPoint presentations from diverse information.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and coordinate activities for the S&S Program; support management with strategic reviews and track actions.
• Lead projects with lab-wide/mission critical impact advancing laboratory sustainability.
• Develop and publish S&S reports for Sandia leadership and external partners.
• Coordinate among professionals across programs, labs, collaborators and management.
• Influence consensus and resolve conflicts.
• Review and report on performance metrics.
• Support the creation of presentations for Senior Managers and Division Leadership.
• Apply project management and Lean Six Sigma tools to analyze problems and improve processes.
• Handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality; collaborate with diverse customers.
