Job summary

ORC8R is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in Austin with hybrid work arrangement. You will design core control plane components, implement distributed state management and resource provisioning workflows, and own projects end to end from design through production deployment.

The role requires 5+ years of software engineering, strong Rust or systems programming background, and expertise in distributed systems, networking and concurrency. Based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional software engineering experience, with Rust or similar systems language.
• Experience with distributed systems and consensus protocols.
• Strong networking, concurrency, and system-level programming skills.
• Willing to relocate to Austin, TX.
• Ability to deliver reliable, well-tested software.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features across the core control plane, including distributed state management and resource provisioning workflows
• Own projects end to end, from design and implementation through production deployment and operation
• Participate in code review and contribute to engineering standards across the team
• Diagnose and resolve issues that arise under production load
• Collaborate with engineering leadership on architectural decisions
