Job summary

Kraken is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Consumer team. You will design and implement customer-facing Rust backend services powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences, owning features end-to-end from concept to user impact.

You will collaborate with product teams to understand requirements, integrate with Kraken's trading infrastructure, and drive autonomous improvements while maintaining a strong product focus and security-first mindset.

Qualifications

Experience building customer-facing Rust backend services.
End-to-end feature ownership from concept to user impact.
Strong focus on performance, reliability, and security.
Experience with AI-assisted development is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and implement customer-facing Rust backend services powering trading, payments, and crypto experiences.
Own features end-to-end understanding customer experience and frontend impact.
Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and integrate with Kraken's trading infrastructure.
Propose improvements and drive solutions autonomously, translating product requirements into resilient solutions.
Use AI extensively to accelerate scope and validation in architecture and product validation.
