Job summary

The Themesoft Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails for an onsite contract role.

You will design, implement, and optimize web applications across the full stack (Ruby on Rails, front-end with HTML/CSS/JS, APIs) in Austin, Sunnyvale, or Sacramento. Responsibilities include building scalable services, collaborating with partners and vendors, ensuring performance, data quality, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a senior software engineering role.
• 6+ years of the Ruby on Rails framework and Ruby as a core language.
• 6+ years of API design and interface technologies (JSON, REST, RPC, XML).
• 6+ years of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) and database design and queries (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Knowledge of integrating GenAI into development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and implement large-scale web applications and components across the full stack (front-end GUI and backend).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues around performance, response times, capacity, and system limitations.
• Collaborate with internal business partners, internal technology resources, and external vendors; maintain applications and ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency.
• Create and maintain documentation for the applications you build.
