Job summary

Sprung Studios Ltd in downtown Portland is seeking a Sr. Ruby Developer to join our development team on a full-time basis. You will contribute to building scalable web applications and collaborate across product, design, and operations.

You should have at least 3+ years of web application experience and 2+ years with Ruby on Rails, plus familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Git. Experience with TDD/BDD preferred; role based in Portland in a fast-paced, scrappy environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of web application experience.
• 2+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience.
• Knowledge of behavior-/test-driven development practices.
• Good experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Good experience with source control (Git).

Responsibilities

• Serve as key member of the development team.
• Participate in all phases of the system development lifecycle.
• Assist in translating business and functional requirements into technical design.
• Code core components of applications and databases.
• Communicate technical and implementation status and issues to management.
• Assist in maintaining the development, test and production environment.
