Job summary

Bank of Montreal (BMO) is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain on‑premise and cloud automation platforms. The role emphasizes production support, performance monitoring, and strong SDLC practices.

You will work with stakeholders to translate business needs into detailed designs, review code, and drive innovations across the data platform. The hybrid Toronto office model is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent field.
• 5–7 years of RPA development experience with UiPath or similar tools.
• Experience with AI-enabled agentic automations.
• Strong SDLC and security-minded development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain on premise and cloud-based RPA platforms to enable automation across the bank.
• Manage all aspects of Automation platform operations including production support.
• Monitor performance and address issues promptly.
• Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Translate business requirements into detailed design specifications and code.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver requirements.
• Develop production support processes and a tiered escalation model.
• Drive innovation and platform usage to improve outcomes.
• Leverage tools to optimize campaigns and platform functionality.
• Establish operational best practices and governance for data platform operations.
