DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Right of Way Agent to independently manage ROW projects, coordinate land acquisition, appraisals, and legal documents. This role ensures projects progress on schedule and comply with state and federal statutes.

The position requires in-office training for six months, then a hybrid work schedule (2–3 days onsite) within Arizona, with potential travel and state vehicle use as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of state/federal regulations relevant to ROW.
• Experience with land surveys, titles, appraisals, acquisitions.
• Eminent domain knowledge and ROW process understanding.
• Ability to interpret title data and legal descriptions.
• Familiarity with Federal Highways Administration requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ROW projects to meet schedules and compliance.
• Provide training and mentorship to coordinators.
• Communicate ROW requirements to stakeholders and manage meetings.
• Oversee audits and federal/ADA compliance for ROW duties.
• Travel as needed and operate state vehicle when required.
