Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the ROWRS program in the Bay Area. The role designs and operates data pipelines, integrates Salesforce, SAP, GIS, and LiDAR data into Palantir Foundry, and works with data science to implement scalable, reliable analytics platforms.

The engineer collaborates across IT, Land, Legal, Wildfire Risk, and Operations to enable proactive, data-driven encroachment detection and remediation, with hybrid work arrangement and a salary range reflecting Bay Area

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years of hands-on data engineering or analytics engineering experience.
Production experience with Spark/PySpark pipelines.
Experience integrating Salesforce, SAP, GIS, or equivalent into analytics platforms.
Experience building Power BI reports with DAX and data modeling.
SQL and Python proficiency.
Ability to operate in multi-tier enterprise environments.
Experience collaborating with IT, data, and business teams.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate PySpark pipelines in Palantir Foundry across data layers.
Onboard and maintain datasets from Salesforce, SAP, GIS, LiDAR, and more.
Implement data modeling, null-handling, and governance per data science guidance.
Add data-quality checks, schema-drift detection, and logging; manage data gaps with owners.
Monitor builds, handle backfills, and optimize performance and cost.
Provide leadership in platform integration and reporting delivery.
Support reporting with Power BI dashboards and BI governance.
