Job summary
EmergencyMD is seeking an experienced Routing & Logistics Coordinator to oversee daily routing operations and support a small logistics team in a distribution and order fulfillment environment in California. Candidate should have 5+ years in routing and shipping, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
Responsibilities include coordinating shipments for major retailers, ensuring adherence to routing guides, EDI requirements, and shipping standards, while leading a team and pursuing process
Qualifications
- 5+ years in routing, logistics or related field.
- 3+ years in supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience routing shipments for major retail customers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily routing and logistics operations.
- Route pickups and deliveries for major retail customers (Target, Walmart, JCPenney, Kohl's).
- Verify routing information for accuracy and customer compliance.
- Review customer routing guides to meet shipment specs.
- Prepare Bills of Lading, packing lists and shipping labels.
- Oversee EDI transactions (EDI 753/754) and timely documents transmission.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse and customer service to meet deadlines.
- Monitor shipment schedules and resolve routing issues.
- Lead and mentor logistics team members.
- Maintain routing standards for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor retail compliance and address routing discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Prioritize multiple shipments in fast-paced environment.
- Perform other logistics duties as assigned.
