Job summary

1st St NW Technical Staffing is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for an established engineering firm in Orlando, FL. You will lead controls projects across aerospace, sports and entertainment sectors, interfacing with customers and mentoring a team of engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of controls experience, Rockwell Studio 5000, and hands-on work with PLC/HMI, Ethernet networks, and motor drives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
10+ years of experience in controls engineering
Rockwell (Studio 5000) PLC programming proficiency required
Experience developing prototype testing, commissioning and debugging
VFDs, servo drives, and motor controller experience
Experience with AutoCAD, Visual Basic, and C language a plus

Responsibilities

Serve as technical leader
Mentor team of controls engineers
PLC/HMI programming
Implement Ethernet and other industrial LAN networks
Lead projects from concept to completion
Interface with customers and provide engineering leadership
